JAPAN BALLET ASSOCIATION
Juridical Foundation




 Japan Ballet Association is only one juridical foundation for ballet dancers, chopeographers, ballet masters and mistress in Japan, and was established in 1957.
 This association is composed of 13 branches, devided 46 japanese prefectures into 13 local areas, and Tokyo district branch, has over 2500 members now.


PURPOSE
MISSION

Japan Ballet Association contribute to the promotion and the progress of Japanese ballet based on dance classic essence, and contribute to the prosperity of Japanese culture and fine art too.
Regarding Japanese Juridical Foundation ;
 Japanese Juridical Foundation is authorized by the goverument, and must be a nonprofit organization which promote and serve public interests.

MEMBERSHIP
Ballet Dancer, Ballet Master, Ballet Mistress, Ballet Instractor Choreographer and students who are learning the classical ballet. <over 18 years old>

HISTORY

1957 Press interviw about establishment of the Japan Ballet Association
1958 The 1st general meeting of the Japan Ballet Assiciation
1963 Ballet Festival concert inaugurated <once a year>:
1968 Summer Ballet concert inaugurated <once a year>
1969 Tokyo Performing Art Festival participating concert inaugurated <once a year>
1971 Winter Ballet concert inaugurated <once a year>  Now; Ballet X'mas for the children
1974 Japan Ballet Assiciation was authozized as the Juridical Foundation by the Ministry of Education Japan.
1977 Japan Ballet Association Kansai branch was established.
1978 Japan Ballet Association Shikoku, Hokkaido, Tohoku and Cyubu branch were established.
Japan Ballet Association Joint Soiree Gala concert inaugurated <once a year>
Winter Ballet Seminar inaugurated <once a year>
1981 Japan Ballet Association Koushinetsu branch was established.
1982 Japan Ballet Association South-Kyushu, North-Kyushu and Okinawa branch were established.
Summer Ballet Seminar inaugurated <once a year>
1983 Japan Ballet Association Cyugoku, Sanin and Kanto branch were established.
All Japan Ballet Competition inaugurated <once a year>
1985 Chieko Hattori Ballet Prize was established
1987 Asian Pacific International Ballet Competition inaugurated <once two years ; All Japan Ballet Competition by turnes>
1989 Japan Ballet Association Young Ballet Festival concert inaugurated <once a year>
2008 The 50th Anniversary
